Hey all, JB here again. It’s been a loooong while since I wrote this blog about my experience with the fat loss 4 idiots diet. I just wanted to touch base with everyone again to let you know that things are still going great! It’s a brand new year and I do NOT have a goal to lose weight this year. Why? Because I don’t need to! :-) I have been successfully maintaining my 160 pound weight by continuing to use the calorie shifting diet as I need to.

I have to tell you, it’s such a wonderful feeling to be at a healthy weight and not having to make that dreaded new year’s goal to lose the pounds. Actually, this is the second year in a row now I haven’t had to do that as I’m finally able to keep the weight off and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

This diet has helped me turn my life around. I’m actually experimenting with different foods now as part of the diet since the fat loss for idiots diet menu is somewhat limited. I feel so much more energized where before I didn’t really want to include exercise as part of the routine, and now I don’t mind walking or jogging a couple times a week.

So if you’re still looking for that magic bullet to help you lose weight, then why not give this system a try. It’s easy to get started on it and really easy to start losing the weight. Once you’re at your goal weight you don’t need to be as strict on it as in the beginning, and if you feel yourself gaining again, then you can always get right back onto the 11-day diet. Do yourself a favor this year and try out the diet program that’s sure to help you lose weight!

You can check it out here!

I wanted to write this review to talk about a new diet I recently tried, it’s called the calorie shifting diet.  What better way to review a diet than to talk about my own personal experience with it?  I’ve had amazing results with it!

Well, I’ve got to say, I’m finding this diet really easy to follow.  I’ve been on it for 9 weeks now and have lost 20.8 pounds.  Now I have to tell you, the diet says you could lose up to 9 pounds every 11 days, but I’m not really seeing those kind of results.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m still very happy with this diet plan because I’m losing much more weight now than I have on my own.  I weigh myself every Sunday morning after I wake up.  Not immediately though, I don’t eat or drink anything and wait about 20 minutes or so after getting out of bed before going onto the scale.  My scale also shoots a little electricity through your feet (which you can’t even feel by the way) and by doing that it can determine my body’s fat percentage and BMI (Body Mass Index).  So anway, here are a couple charts of my current progress..

Week # Weight % Fat BMI Weekly Loss Total Loss
Start 188.2 27.8 28.6 0.0 0.0
1 183.0 26.8 27.8 5.2 5.2
2 180.6 26.2 27.5 2.4 7.6
3 177.8 25.8 27.0 2.8 10.4
4 177.6 25.6 27.0 0.2 10.6
5 173.8 24.8 26.4 3.8 14.4
6 176.8 25.2 26.4 -3.0 11.4

Weight loss progress graph using the calorie shifting diet from Fat Loss 4 Idiots

So looking at the charts above, you can see that I’ve lost 20.8 pounds in 9 weeks.  That averages out to 2.31 pounds a week (it would have been more if I didn’t screw up… more on that in a minute).  My percentages of body fat and body mass index are also going down.  You can also see (more prevalent on the graph when looking at the blue line)  that I slipped and had some trouble between weeks 3 and 4, and especially between weeks 5 and 6. This was my fault and I completely understand why that happened.  With this diet you eat specific foods for 11 days, and then for the next 3 days you can eat whatever you want.  (The ends of week 3 and 5 were the 3 day cheat period).  Those last 3 days I took the “cheating” too far and really just overate.  I ate way more than I needed to.  I know I did because I even felt uncomfortable afterwards.  When you’re on a diet (even when on the 3 days of cheating, you have to keep in mind that you’re still on the diet) you need to maintain some self control and just stop eating when you’re full.  I was eating chocolate, pizza, and other junk food, that just completely worked against everything I did the previous few days.  Fortunately I was able to bounce right back into it.

This new diet is only $39, and just a one time charge!  They won’t bill me again, and I can keep logging back into their website to pick different foods and generate new menus as often as I like.  So I figured I’ll give it a shot and see what happens.  I told myself I would give it about a month and if it doesn’t help me lose weight like I wanted, then I’ll move on.  Well, that wasn’t necessary.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

If you would like to try this diet out for yourself, I would really encourage you to do so.  The website you can get this diet from is called Fat Loss 4 Idiots.  You can check it out here.  The site has a few pages of “fluff” that tell you how this diet is supposed to work, and why it’s better than all the rest.  It’s a good read, but personally I think it’s a little too much.  They do appear to be overselling it, but then again, I’m proof that the diet is working.  You don’t get anything physically mailed to you, they have it all online.  It’s really simple.  They have a diet handbook that’s available as a PDF file that you can download, or even view online if you want.  There’s also the Diet Generator which will plan your meals.  They’ll give you two columns of foods and you pick at least 7 foods from each column.  It will then come up with the meals you need to eat for the next 11 days.  The theory behind this is that eating certain calories on certain days will trick your body’s metabolism and speed it up.  Hey, for $39 bucks it’s worth a shot… isn’t it?

So good luck with your own weight loss!  If you try this diet, then I hope you have as much luck with it as I have so far!

The Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet changes your eating routines by shifting calories so your body can’t adjust, which in turn increases your metabolism and fat burning. It suggests you eat 4 meals a day and the calorie content of each meal will be different. By following this diet, people can generally expect to lose about 7 pounds in two weeks. This diet lets you eat most of your favorite foods and there’s no need to exercise. You can actually lose weight rather quickly with this diet, but of course it varies from person to person, and I’ll outline my own personal exerience with this weight loss diet in another post real soon.

Here’s an example of what you can expect to eat when following this diet. Now the food combinations may seem a little weird (they’re certainly not anything I normally would have “planned” on eating together for a meal) but following this really worked for me.

Day 1

Meal 1

  • Sausage Links
  • Cashews
  • Bowl of Green Beans
Meal 2

  • Chicken
  • Low Fat Milk
Meal 3

  • Roast Beef Slices
  • Scrambled Eggs
Meal 4

  • Ham Slices
  • Sausage Links
  • Bowl of Mixed Vegetables

You don’t have to eat the meals in any specific order either, and if you don’t like something, you don’t have to eat it. I don’t particularily care for hard boiled eggs or pinto beans, so I never include them when selecting which foods I want to eat. There are plenty of foods you can pick from however, and it will automatically generate the daily meals for you for the next 11 days (this is sometimes also called the “11-day diet”). I LOVE the Orange Pineapple Smoothies and Banana Milk Shakes (they’re not included in the meal examples above), but I look forward to every meal that has one of them.

So there’s a lot of hype going around about the calorie shifting diet and how well it works, but what exactly is it, and how does it work? Well, very simply put, it’s a way of tricking your body into speeding up your metabolism by eating certain foods at certain times which causes you to lose weight quickly. Your body has a way of adjusting to your eating routines so it burns calories and fat based on how much you eat and when you eat. It’s used to burning a certain number of calories. The constant shift in calorie intakes forces your body to burn more calories because it doesn’t know how much to burn. It starts taking effect the very next day, so constantly shifting your calories can result in weight loss very quickly. In my next post I’ll talk more about how the Fat Loss 4 Idiots program works and hopefully that’ll shed more light on how this all works.

I just wanted to let you all know that my calorie shifting diet review will be coming out shortly.  There’s been a lot of hype about the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet and if it really works.  Most people struggle with losing weight, but does the calorie shifting diet plan make it any easier?  Here’s a hint, I’ve had amazing results with it! I’ll get into that in another post though.   Check back shortly and I’ll tell you all about it, from what is a calorie shifting diet, example diet menus, to how much weight I’ve succeeded in losing with this diet.
